Post-Traumatic Prison Disorder ‘Shawanna W76337’
The passing of this legislation would require the department of corrections and community supervision to develop an individualized "transitional accountability plan" for the rehabilitation of every person put under the custody of the department. Also, the bill requires mental health services to be included in the individual's transitional accountability plan. Mental health re-entry services will also provide screening and assessment, and clinical intervention for post-traumatic prison disorder.
I AM BEAUTIFUL

Activists say little has changed for women at Michigan prison
For years, the Huron Valley Women’s Prison in Ypsilanti, Michigan, carried a reputation for traumatizing inmates by subjecting them to abuse and deplorable conditions. Advocates say little has changed.
A WORD FROM SHAWANNA VAUGHN-ADVOCATE – HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
It is easy for me to find reasons to be thankful. First, let’s just start with -GOD IS GOOD! Anyone breathing should be able to proclaim that goodness. So far this year illness and crime have claimed too many people in Michigan with many of those being from Detroit. The numbers are high, but we can learn more and work harder for an increase in survivor numbers next year. For health reasons, I advise everyone to visit a physician, or clinic to stay ahead of any cultural illness such as Covid, and genetics, such as diabetes. These visits matter because the more you know the facts about your health and well-being, the higher your survival rate should be. Your presence matters to this world, to your family, and your future. Love yourself and invest, emotionally and financially in your livelihood.
